How Police Arrested Soldier's Girlfriend With 90 Live Ammunition In Borno | READ DETAILS

A 25 year old Anita Yohanna, has been arrested by the Borno State Police Command for allegedly having in her possession, 90 rounds of live ammunition.

Yohanna was arrested while boarding a car to Yola capital of Adamawa from Askira Town in the Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno.

According to her, her boyfriend who is a soldier, one Aliyu Isa, gave her the live ammunition to transit.

"I have been dating the soldier for one year and four months now. His name is Aliyu Isa, a Lance Corporal with the Nigerian Army, serving in Askira. He gave me the bag and instructed me to take it to a park in Uba and waybill it in a vehicle going to Yola.

"I arrived at the Una Motor Park around 5pm. When I got to the driver, he asked me what was in the bag and I told him I did not know. Then, he said we should open it to confirm before he would accept the luggage. Upon opening the bag, we discovered it was live ammunition.

"We discovered 90 rounds of live ammunition; that was how I was arrested and brought to the state police headquarters.ÔÇØ

Meanwhile, the soldier is said to have been arrested and detained by the Nigerian Army.
