One Mrs. Ogochukwu Ezeanya a landlady in the residence of Oko Jombo Ntueke Umuosi Degema zones of Ndiegoro Community in Aba south has alleged that men of the Abia state police force forcefully badged into her house, beat her up, and made away with some of her properties.

Narrating her ordeal before the judicial panel sitting on Tuesday February 9, in Umuahia, mrs Ogochukwu said that the ordeal took place in her residence at no. 98 Ibere street, Aba . She said; on 1st October, 2019, at about 1:30pm, there was gunshots and smoke from Oko Jumbo and Ababa area.

There was a loud bang on her gate as she was inside with her children. ÔÇØ I peeped outside from my window and saw 8 policemen who entered my compound through adjoining streets.

They were shooting at random, spoilt my GP tank, my goods, doors, everything. ÔÇØ One of the policemen tore the net on my door, came into the parlor and ransacked the whole house. One of them dragged me out from where I hid and was continuously hitting me on my chest. ÔÇØ When I asked what I did, he said where is the gun used in killing Alhaji, I told him I don't know any Alhaji nor where the gun was. ÔÇØ As I was trying to note the number on his uniform, he slapped me and I fell down.

She said. According to the witness, she was able to identify those men as police officers from their uniforms and T-shirts which was crested SARS. She said the men dragged her outside, adding that one of the men almost stabbed her with a knife he brought out safe for the other policeman who pushed her out from the knife's direction and she fell down.

She also added that the police threatened to shoot her children and an aged mother who came out from hiding. Mrs Ogochukwu mentioned that one of the men forcefully opened the padlocked gate with his gun. She added that the men looted her properties including, phones, laptop, and television.

The witness said she was treated in the house after her neighbours took her to various hospitals which rejected her as they had no police report. The witness pleaded a compensation of N100 billion . The court adjourned the matter to March 10, 2021 for defense
