How Terrorists Ambushed Presidential Guards In Abuja After Threatening To Kidnap Buhari
Barely 48-hours after terrorists had threatened to kidnap president Muhammadu Buhari, Kaduna state governor, Nasir-El-Rufai, and others, the presidential guards brigade have been attacked on Monday night.

The troops were ambushed while on patrol along the Kubwa-Bwari road, FCT, Abuja.

Confirming the attack, spokesperson of the Guards Brigade, Captain Godfrey Anebi Abakpa, said troops repelled the terrorists, however, few men sustained injuries in the gun duel that ensued and are now receiving medical attention.

"They were attacked, and the attack was successfully repelled. We had a few (men) wounded in action who have been taken to the hospital and receiving treatment.

"At the moment our troops are still combing the general area to get rid of the criminals who have been threatening the general area" Abakpa said.

Recall that the president's advance team had been attacked by terrorists in Katsina during sallah.

On Monday, schools in the Federal Capital Territoty including Federal Government College Kwali, Abuja forfeited their ongoing examinations, asking parents to evacuate their wards over fear of terrorist's attack. READ HERE
