I Will Stop Ikpeazu, Abaribe - Blessing Nwagba Boasts | READ DETAILS
The senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the Aba South Senatorial zone , Dame Blessing Nwagba has promised to give the duo of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, the people Democratic party (PDP) candidate and Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), a good run in the general elections come 2023.

The aspirant gave the assurance shortly after clinching the APC Senatorial ticket at the expense of her only rival , Dr Kasarachi Enyinnaya who withdrew from the race last Sunday, May 28, 2022.

Although she had to run unopposed, she polled 279 votes out of 320 accredited delegates.
Nwagba who was a former member of the Abia state House of Assembly,and former gubernatorial flag bearer of the Social Democratic party (SDP) during the 2019 general elections said she is not in any way intimidated by the political trajectories of her two major political opponents the duo of Governor Ikpeazu and Senate minority Leader Enyinnaya Abaribe, adding that she is ever ready to face them head on.

According to her, she is not just going to face them boldly, she is equally preparing to stop them, as the good people of Abia South Senatorial zone, are in total agreement with her avowed struggle for a re-definition of the political narrative of the zone.

She said Youth and women empowerment will form the fulcrum of her policy drive if elected to the red chamber of the National Assembly in 2023.
Nwagbara's rival, Dr. Enyinnaya said he decided to withdraw from the race in difference to the plea by the APC , hierarchy, noting that as a loyal party man he strongly believe in party supremacy. He also lauded the peaceful manner the primaries were conducted.
