Ikonne's Death Is A Big Blow To Our Political Ecosystem - Ceekay Igara, LP Chairman Mourns
The Labour Party in Abia state, has mourned the People's Democratic Party, (PDP)'s Governorship Candidate, Professor Uche Ikonne who died on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

The Labour Party chairman in the state, Mr. Ceekay Igara while speaking to ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER, described Professor Ikonne's death as a serious blow to the political ecosystem especially as it remains few weeks to the 2023 election.

"On behalf of the leadership and membership of the Labour Party Abia state, we mourn the sudden death of professor Eleazar Uchenna Ikonne, the PDP Governorship Candidate in Abia state.
"His death is a serious blow to our political ecosystem" Igara mourned.

He encouraged candidates of various political parties to take a few days break from campaign activities to honour late Ikonne.

He also condoled with governor Okezie Ikpeazu, PhD, on the death of professor Ikonne whom he described as an "illustrious son of Abia state".

The Labour Party state chairman asked God to console the immediate family of the deceased, the PDP family and the entire political ecosystem.
Ikonne's death was announced by his son, Dr. Uche Ikonne Chikezie. According to the family, the governorship candidate of the PDP died at the National hospital Abuja today, by 4am.
