Ehiemere while giving a charge on Thursday, advised the people of Abia South especially, not to vote for governor Okezie Ikpeazu, the Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stating that Ikpeazu whom he said could not use the resources at his disposal to better the lives of Abians for the past 8-years, "is incapable and unfit to provide good representation at the senate".

He queried what Ikpeazu would be doing at the senate if elected as he was not able to utilize the federal allocations, internally generated revenue and loans at his disposal as a governor, to pay civil servants and pensioners whom he said have been left in abject poverty.

"Aba South people should vote in Enyinnaya Abaribe. Enyinnaya Abaribe has the capacity. He is the voice of the south east and has defended the Igbos among other candidates.
"What will Ikpeazu go to do? Ikpeazu has presided over all the federal allocations, internally generated revenues and loans and he was unable to pay pensioners, workers and doctors. He was unable to give infrastructures; all the roads are bad.
Is it when he goes to the senate that he will do better? is it where he is going to perform what he could not do after 8 years when he had all the resources under his control? He is not capable, he is not fit, that is why he must not be voted as a senatorial candidate for Abia south because he has done nothing for the state and for Abia south.

'Abia south people must not make any mistake. Ikpeazu has no business in the senate" Ehiemere said.
He also called on Abians to vote for the governorship candidate of APGA, Professor Greg Ibe and all the state House of Assembly, and National Assembly candidates at the 2023 general election.
The state chairman stated that Abia state has suffered and 2023 is the time for Greg Ibe whom he said is passionate about the people, to bring the desired change.
