Ikpeazu Swears In New President, Abia Customary Court Of Appeal, Others |DETAILS/PHOTOS
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has sworn- in Hon. Justice Okey Iyke Nwamoh as the substantive President of the Abia State Customary Court of Appeal as well as inaugurated members of the newly reconstituted Judicial Service Commission.

The Oaths of Office and Allegiance were administered on the President of the State Customary Court of Appeal, by the State Solicitor General, Lady Uzoamaka Ikonne at the government house Umuahia.

Speaking after the oath taking, the governor charged Justice Nwamoh to maintain cordial relationship among the three arms of government in the State and uphold the place of the Judiciary in our democracy.

Ikpeazu expressed confidence that with the accumulated experience of the new president, he would add more value to the judiciary adding that the Abia State Government will continue to support the Judiciary arm.

The Governor, who noted that the members of the newly inaugurated Judiciary Service Commission were carefully selected enjoined them to bring their wealth of experience to bear, expressing confidence that they would not disappoint the People and Government of Abia State.

Responding on behalf of himself and members of the newly reconstituted Judicial Service Commission, Justice Nwamoh thanked the Governor for honoring him assuring that he will abide by the oath of office and allegiance in the discharge of his duties.

He described the reconstitution of the Judiciary Service Commission as timeous and pledged that the members would discharge their duties judiciously.
