Imo Killings: Stop Venting Anger Of Bad Governance On Innocent Citizens- Okorocha Begs Youths

The Senator representing Imo West, Rochas Okorocha, has cried out over the incessant killings in Imo state.

The former governor of the state pleaded with the youths to stop venting the anger of bad governance by killing innocent citizens in Imo state.

Okorocha, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made this call on Wednesday, at Eziama Obierie in Nkwerre LGA, during the burial ceremony of Uche Nwosu's mother

The senator who regretted that Imo has changed drastically from what it used to be when he was in power, charged the youths to shun violence and adopt proper channels of protests which include getting their voter's card and participating in the 2023 general elections to vote out bad governance.

"I want to appeal to the youth to stop venting their anger of bad governance by killing innocent citizens. This is not the Imo I used to know.

"This is not the Imo I was governor for eight years. I don't support violence but I support protest through a proper channel. I urge you to wait till 2023 and use your PVCs to vote out bad governance.

"Six governors called me and told me that they wanted to be here for the funeral but I told them for them to be here they must have to move about in Armoured Personnel Carriers and hence they couldn't afford it, they stayed back in their respective statesÔÇØ Rochas Okorocha said.

Imo state has recently been laced with kidnappings and killings of especially traditional rulers among other nefarious criminal activities.
