There is tension in Amakpurudere-Izombe in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, following the alleged killing of one person whose identity had yet to be ascertained and a police officer who was shot and his service rifle allegedly taken away from him.

The development had caused tension in the community as security operatives roved in the community.

A community source told our correspondent that while the victim was slain in a bush path in a community, the cop who was said to be attached to one of the oil companies operating in the community was attacked after he had an altercation with another person.

The source said, "The community is hot as we speak. Indigenes are running from the community to avoid a repeat of what happened the other time after youths and military men clashed and houses were burnt.
