2023 Elections: INEC Releases Date For Final List Of Presidential, Governorship Candidates

The Independent National Electoral Commission has released the date of final list of the presidential candidates and that of the governorship hopefuls.

INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, disclosed this during a meeting organized by the Centre for Democracy and Development in Abuja with the theme, "Conducting Nigeria's 2023 Elections in Volatile Security Environment,ÔÇØ in Abuja.

According to him, the final list for the presidential candidates will be out on September 20, while that of governorship will be released on October 4.

The INEC boss admonished political parties to focus on issue-based campaigns and assured that the commission would work with security agencies to ensure a peaceful election.
