INEC Releases Final List Of Candidates For Imo, Kogi, Bayelsa Governorship Elections | SEE NAMES
Ahead of the November 11, 2023 governorship elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has released final list of candidates fielded by various political parties.
INEC at it's regular meeting on Tuesday approved the final list of candidates for the three cycle elections in line with the provision of section 32(1) Electoral Act 2022 which requires the publication of the list not less than 150 days to election day (Friday, June 9) following the period for voluntary withdrawal and substitution of candidates by political parties under section 31 of the Electoral Act 2022.
INEC's final list shows that all 18 political parties are fielding candidates in Kogi State, 17 in Imo and 16 in Bayelsa state.

Two political parties are fielding female candidates in Bayelsa state and one in Kogi state.

According to INEC, public campaigns officially starts from June 14 and ends November 9, 2023.
