Public Pressure and Media Intervention
After a report highlighted Ojedokun's plight and the agency's failure to deliver on its promise, Into Migration swiftly initiated the refund process. They remitted the naira equivalent of £4,500 to Ojedokun's brother on Tuesday, retaining 10% for administrative charges.
Gratitude Expressed
Ojedokun expressed gratitude for the refund, acknowledging the media's role in ensuring accountability. He stated, "Into Migration has refunded the money. They sent the naira equivalent of £4,500 to my brother. I am really grateful. Thank you very much."
