IPAC ACCUSES INEC OF PARTISANSHIP IN ABIA STATE, ALLEGES PLAN TO SUBVERT THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE IN THE FORTHCOMING GUBERNATORIAL AND HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS

The Abia state chapter of the Inter-party advisory committee (IPAC) has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of its partisanship in the just concluded national assembly election.
IPAC which in a press statement signed by its Chairman in the state, Reverend Augustine Ehiemere condemned several cases of electoral malpractices perpetrated by officers of the commission in the state.
The statement cited cases such as the case of Aba North/South Federal Constituency where it said "We are equally appalled by INEC's position on a petition purportedly written by Bar.Uzor Azubuike of the PDP to withhold results collated, signed and copies given to party agents, security agencies, even when there was no court injunction restraining INEC from announcing and declaring the result. Meanwhile, the returning officer has now assumed the position of the court.ÔÇØ
Also the group expressed its displeasure with the commissions' disposition in Abia North where it declared a winner in an election that is yet to be concluded.
