ISI GATE TRADERS PLEADS WITH THE ABIA GOVT TO EXTEND DEADLINE GIVEN TO THEM

Traders at Isi gate Umuahia have pleaded with the state government to extend the deadline given to them to evacuate the place till December 31st, 2019, saying this will enable them to get set for their relocation.

Addressing some government officials in front of the Government House gate in Umuahia, the Secretary Isigate Traders Association Mr. Emeka Okezie who spoke on behalf of the traders, congratulated Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on his recent victory at the Tribunal and used the medium to plead with him to extend the deadline of their relocation from Isigate to Ubani Ibeku/Amuzukwu to 31st December 2019 to enable them prepare for the action.

He promised to ensure that the traders keep Isi gate clean within the time the Governor will give them, adding that they will provide security within themselves for peace in the place.

Responding, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu who spoke through the Commissioner for Information Chief John Okiyi Kalu explained that the Governor remains passionate with the traders which made him not to take immediate action against them, pointing out the he will ensure he send his plead to the Governor.

Information reaching Abia Facts News before Press time has it that the desire of the traders have being approved by the governor, by so doing they expected to leave Isi gate by the 31st of December 2019.
