[ISUIKWUATO] Insecurity: Lawmaker cries out, Insists on urgent steps

The Member representing Isuikwuato State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Emeka Okoroafor has cried out over the recent rise in crime in his constituency while calling for urgent intervention.

The Lawmaker made this cry on plenary of Tuesday 2nd February 2021 on the floor of the Abia State House of Assembly when he came under matters of urgent public importance.

In his submission, Hon Okoroafor frowned at the incessant killing and kidnappings going on in Isuikwuato, saying that these evil acts are alleged to be perpetrated by gun welding herdsmen.

He noted that lives have been lost, the economy in the area has collapsed and the people are living in fear.

"The policemen in the area are doing absolutely nothing to stop the ugly menace.ÔÇØ The Lawmaker maintained

He, however, prayed the House to invite all the security heads in the State to have an interaction with the House and advised that the House should mandate the House Committee on Security to visit the area and have interactions with the relevant stakeholders to put an end to the menace.
