Popular Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has ignited a heated debate across Nigeria and beyond after claiming that medical doctors are deliberately trained not to heal patients, but to keep them dependent on treatments in order to profit from their illnesses.

Speaking in a recent interview on the Echoo Room hosted by reality TV star Teddy A, the outspoken actor accused the global health sector of being a trillion-dollar business empire that thrives on recurring sickness rather than cures.

"Medical doctors are basically trained all through their career not to heal. It's big pharma business,ÔÇØ Jim Iyke said, his tone sharp with conviction. "If they tell you what to take and they heal you, you're not a customer anymore and they won't make money.ÔÇØ

The Bad Comments star went further, alleging that orthodox medicine and pharmaceutical practices are built on lies designed to keep people coming back for more prescriptions. He also suggested that genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and other artificial interventions are part of a deliberate strategy to weaken public health.

"There's a GMO everywhere. The orthodox medicines; the lies. If I say it anywhere, it upsets them [medical practitioners],ÔÇØ he added.
