The Abia State House of Assembly on Tuesday December 24th 2019 Passed HAB 11: The Abia State 2020 Appropriation Bill,2019 into Law.

The Governor of Abia State Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu had on November 18 2019 Presented the 2020 Budget to the Abia State House of Assembly for consideration.

The 7th Abia State House of Assembly under the Speakership of Rt.Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji had on December 10 2019 assured Abians and the general Public that the house will expedite legislative action and ensure the passage of the budget before the end of 2019.

The House during Plenary on Tuesday considered the report presented by the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation Rt.Hon.Kennedy Njoku and passed the 2020 Appropriation Bill into Law.

"The 2020 Abia State of Nigeria Appropriation Law shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st Day of January 2020" the House Resolved.
