A Divisional Police Station in Adani, Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State has reportedly been attacked by unknown gunmen.

According to PUNCH, three policemen on duty were allegedly killed, while others sustained injuries.

It was also learnt that security infrastructure in the station were razed down during the attack which occurred at about 2:30am to about 3:30am, tpday, Wednesday, April 21.

Although the State Police Command confirmed the attack, it said details would be made available later.

When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe, said, "Yes, there is a report of an attack on Adani Divisional Police station this early morning. However, the details of the incident are still sketchy."

This is coming barely 48 hours after a Police Zonal Headquarters, Zone 13 in Ukpo, Anambra State, and Uzuakoli Police Station in Abia State were attacked.
