JUST IN (Insecurity): Abia Govt Expands Curfew To Ohafia, Arochukwu LGAs

Abia State Government have expanded the Local Government Areas where the curfew imposed by the state will now cover.

AF NEWS had reported that the curfew which is now from 8pm to 6am was to take effect in Abia state commercial city Aba and Umuahia the capital city.

But based on a new press release made available to AF NEWS and signed by Chief of Staff to the Governor, A.C.B. Agbazuere, Ph.D. (Laws), FICMC, the curfew will also cover Arochukwu and Ohafia LGA's.

Citizens are advised to strictly comply.

GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Following the decision of the Abia State Security Council in its meeting of 6th April, 2021, Abia State Governor, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D has approved that the curfew imposed in the state should henceforth commence from 8pm to 6am and the towns involved are Aba, Umuahia, Ohafia and Arochukwu.

All citizens are advised to strictly comply to avoid collateral consequences as security agencies are already on alert to ensure airtight enforcement of the curfew.
