The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has ordered that Fuji music icon, K1 De Ultimate, be placed on a No-Fly List, following his controversial altercation with the staff and crew of ValueJet at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Tuesday, August 7, 2025.

The dramatic incident, which has since gone viral on social media, involved Kwam 1 allegedly obstructing a ValueJet aircraft from taxiing after being denied boarding over suspicion that he carried a flask containing alcohol-although the exact content of the flask has been ruled irrelevant by the Minister.

In a strongly worded statement, Keyamo described the altercation as a "temporary loss of sanity and control on both sides," noting that the situation could have escalated into a major aviation tragedy. He acknowledged that both the pilot's decision to proceed with taxiing despite visible obstruction and K1's physical blockade of the aircraft were clear violations of international aviation safety protocols.

While the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) had already suspended the licenses of the pilot and captain involved, Keyamo questioned the one-sided disciplinary action, calling it unjust.
