Lectures Recommence In Gregory University Uturu

Academic activities are set to resume in Gregory University Uturu, after the Christmas and New Year holidays. According to a release by the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Rosemary Igboekwe, lectures have been scheduled to commence virtually on Monday, January 4, 2021 in continuation of the Harmattan Semester of the 2020/2021 academic session.

Part of the press statement reads thus:

"After the Christmas and New Year break, we are glad to announce the commencement of online lectures, from Monday, January 4, 2021. This is to enable us fulfill the statutory 18-week academic work, required to make up a semester, while complying with National Universities Commissions (NUC) directives on closure of schools due to the second wave of COVID-19 in Nigeria".

The release therefore, requests all scholars of GUU to visit the schools official website

(www.gregoryuniversityuturu.edu.ng), to download the updated online lecture timetable as released by the Centre for e-Learning Resource in conjunction with the Directorate of SERVICOM and Quality Assurance, while also enjoining lecturers to post weblinks to their lectures on all designated social media platforms for scholars.

Recall that Gregory University Uturu successfully resorted to virtual teaching and learning in 2020, at the peak of the nationwide lockdown, occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic. This enabled the timely completion of the 2019/2020 academic session and subsequent convocation ceremony of the school's fifth batch of graduates on December 12, 2020.
