Manchester United's Joshua Zirkzee offers AC Milan alternative January option, Arsenal monitor young goalkeeper - Euro Transfer News
A round-up of the biggest transfer stories on the continent on Tuesday including a report that Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee could be set for a move to Italy with AC Milan potential suitors. Arsenal are keeping tabs on Milan goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani while Barcelona have not ruled out offering Robert Lewandowski a new deal and Borussia Dortmund have set a price for Nico Schlotterbeck.
Could Zirkzee offer Milan Fullkrug alternative?
AC Milan have their sights set on a move for Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee, according to reports in Italy.
On Monday, Calciomercato reported that Milan had an agreement in principle to sign West Ham striker Niclas Fullkrug, but The Rossoneri are open to the idea of abandoning this pursuit if the Germany international fails to convince them that his fitness problems are a thing of the past.

La Gazzetta dello Sport are now claiming former Bologna forward Zirkzee is an alternative January option, having retained an interest in the player since his move to Old Trafford.
Zirkzee - who is also said to be attracting interest from AS Roma - has struggled for regular starts under Ruben Amorim this season, with the United head coach preferring Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and even Mason Mount in a false nine position on certain occasions.

Fullkrug has been plagued by injuries since arriving at the London Stadium, and Hammers boss Nuno Espirito Santo is currently having to rely on Jarrod Bowen or Callum Wilson as his focal point.
The report by La Gazzetta dello Sport says: "Despite his different profile, in recent weeks there have been contacts with the entourage of Joshua Zirkzee, a long-time target at Milan.
"The Dutchman wants to leave Manchester United and would gladly return to Italy, where he exploded with success at Bologna.
"The Red Devils, however, would like to include an obligation to buy of around Ôé¼35 ÔÇïÔÇïmillion to protect themselves from the loan. And above all, they would only let him leave at the end of January."
Arsenal monitoring Milan goalkeeper Torriani
Another report from La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Arsenal are keen on AC Milan's 20-year-old Italian goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani.

Torriani is said to have impressed Arsenal's recruitment team last summer when featuring in a pre-season friendly against The Gunners in Singapore, where he saved three penalties in a shoot-out.
A loan move to Serie B for the player currently starting for the San Siro club's Development team (Milan Futuro) is not on the table next month, with Torriani said to be awaiting talks next summer to discuss the best solution for his future.

That should become clearer when a decision has been made on whether first-choice stopper Mike Maignan is to remain at the club, who is entering the final six months of his current contract.
The Gazzetta report adds that Robin Risser of Lens and Berke Ozer of Lille have been shortlisted as possible replacements for Maignan, but that Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri's priority is for the France goalkeeper to renew his contract.
Could Schlotterbeck price himself out of move?
Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck will not be allowed to leave for less than Ôé¼50 million, according to reports in Germany.
Schlotterbeck, whose current deal expires in the summer of 2027, has attracted interest from Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich.

According to BILD (via Sport), the centre-back is unlikely to extend his contract - but the report adds that Dortmund will not negotiate a sale for less than Ôé¼50m.
Another stumbling block for potential suitors is his wages, with the Germany international demanding Ôé¼20m a year on a five-year contract, according to Spanish publication Sport.
Lewandowski in Barcelona extension talks
Barcelona have reportedly instigated talks with Robert Lewandowski's camp about the possibility of a one-year contract extension.
With the striker nearing the end of his deal, his agent Pini Zahavi sat down for a lengthy meeting with president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco to get a read on the club's thinking, according to Spanish publication Sport.

Lewandowski is reportedly open to staying, with the 37-year-old and his family settled in Barcelona, but retirement is not on his mind. In recent months, he has pushed back against the idea that his career is winding down, insisting he still has more to give.
Inside the club, though, there is a sense of uncertainty. The report adds that Barcelona are reserving judgment and will assess Lewandowski over the rest of the season before offering a one-year extension.
Old Lady to offer Schlager way out of Leipzig?
Juventus are already planning ahead for next summer and have identified RB Leipzig midfielder Xaver Schlager as a potential reinforcement, according to football transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Austrian has emerged as a target for the Bianconeri with his contract due to expire in June, making him an appealing option on the market.

Juventus reportedly believe Schlager could be persuaded to leave the Bundesliga once the season concludes.
The Austria international has found it difficult to re-establish himself at Leipzig following a serious knee injury in 2024. Now 28, Schlager has plenty of top-flight experience - 134 Bundesliga appearances - but he is no longer an automatic starter at the Red Bull Arena under Ole Werner.
With his role less certain, the prospect of a fresh challenge in a new league could prove an attractive option.
