MANY INJURED IN ATTACK ON KWANKWASO'S CONVOY IN KANO

Suspected thugs allegedly working for one of the political parties in Kofa town in Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State, yesterday attacked the convoy of Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso and the People's Democratic Party PDP candidate, Abba Yusuf along with other party members injuring at least 10.
Senator Kwankwaso and the gubernatorial candidate were said to have escaped unharmed.
No fewer than 16 cars were allegedly destroyed by the thugs.
This was stated by the gubernatorial running mate of the PDP Aminu Abdussalam in his office in Kano.
Also speaking to Vanguard, the spokesperson of Senator Kwankwaso, Hajiya Binta Spikin who was part of the convoy said they were attacked along their way to a political rally at Kwanan Dangora.
"We were attacked at Kofa village in Bebeji Local Government Area on our way to Kwanan Dangora. The road was blocked and as we stopped thugs came out with different types of weapons and started attacking us. They threw stones and others at us. Several cars were destroyed and many were injuredÔÇØ she said.
