Mayor Ikeji Inaugurates Umuahia North Transition Councilor's

The Mayor of Umuahia North, Hon. High-Chief Victor Ikeji has inaugurated the councillors for Umuahia North LGA.

In an event which held today 15th December, 2023 at the councils legislative chambers, the Mayor swore in the councillors of the eleven wards that constitute Umuahia North Local Government Area.

Mayor Ikeji during the swearing-in charged the transition councillors to see their appointment as a call to serve. He said all the transition councillors were selected with inputs from party leaders and stakeholders from their various wards.

He urged them to make useful impacts with the opportunity that has been availed to them to serve their people. He reminded them that their performance will open doors for a higher office in the future.

Mayor Ikeji assured the councillors that he will work hand in glove with them to ensure they better the lives of the people at the grassroots. He urged them not to disappoint their people who have reposed so much trust and confidence on them .

The transition councillors who were sworn-in are; Ifeanyi Chukwu Onuegbu-Ward I, Kingsley Chukwudi Emenike-Ward 2, Akandu Ifeanyi-Ward 3, Dominic Ukairo-Ibeku East 1, Ozoemelam G. Aguwa-Ibeku East 2, Nwoko Chinwekele Ndume-Ward, Chibuzor Emuaga - Ibeku West. Others are Michael Ugwunna Eze-Umuhu Ward, Ogbonna Henry Efugh-Isingwu Ward, Agomoh Richard Okwudiri-Nkwoachara Ward, Apostle Jacob Ikechukwu Obioma-Afugiri Ward and Ugochukwu Gideon Okeoma-Nkwoegwu ward.

The councillor for Nkwoegwu Ward, Hon. Ugochukwu Gideon Okeamah who spoke on behalf of his colleagues thanked the Mayor for his Words of encouragement, he assured the Mayor and their constituents that they will give their best to ensure the development of their wards and the local government at large .

The Deputy-Mayor, Hon. Okechukwu Anthony Amah, the Secretary to the LGA, Dr. Mrs Edith Ifeniywa Iheoma, the Acting Head of Service, Prince Okechukwu Onugu Mba, Chief of Staff to the Mayor, Prince Goodluck Ohazuruike, Head of Personnel Lady Ndidi Ndukwe, the Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the Mayor, Chief Chukwudi Amaechi, Special Adviser on Security, Commander Emmanuel Ogbuenyi (Rtd), Chief Security Officer, Spul Ibeabuchi Kingsley Ikechukwu and Director of Protocol, Rex Ogbuagu were all present to witness the event.
