The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has warned telecom subscribers to be cyber alert and not respond to messages requesting for certain information.

The Nigerian Communications Commission is the independent National Regulatory Authority for the telecommunications industry in Nigeria.
Telecom subscribers are advised not to reply to messages from suspected fraudsters requesting for their Bank Verification Number (BVN), National Identification Number (NIN), Personal Identity Number (PIN), among other personal information.

"The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is calling on Subscribers not to respond to messages or calls asking for Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as Bank Verification Number(BVN), National Identification Number (NIN) or Personal Identity Number (NIN) and other login information.ÔÇØ
