NCC Celebrates 2022 World Telecoms, Information Society Day
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), is marking the 2022 World Telecommunications and Information Society Day (WTSID), today, May 17.
NCC is the Independent Regulatory Body for the telecoms industry in Nigeria.

The WTSID is an annual event that helps to create awareness about the benefits of telecommunications. The commemoration also aimed at bridging the digital divide.

The objective of this year's celebration, "Digital Technologies for Older Persons and Healthy Ageing", is aimed at ensuring technology remains socially inclusive for the elderly and the ageing. It also aimed at ensuring that older people utilize digital technologies to maintain healthy and productive lives.
