ABIA 2023: Ncheta Omerekpe Denies Donating To The Governorship Ambition Of Ikonne
A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, Chief Ncheta Omerekpe, has described reports by some sections of the media alleging that he donated to the governorship ambition of the party's candidate, Professor Uche Ikonne, as a joke.

Refuting the claims, Omerekpe in a statement signed by his media consultant, Professor Lanre Amo, restated that he is not a member of the PDP Campaign council for Ikonne. He added that he will not donate to the governorship ambition of Ikonne as according to him, the PDP governorship candidate lacks capacity and capability to govern Abia state judging from his records at the Abia State University Uturu (ABSU) and Abia State Polytechnic.
The statement read in part;
The attention of chief Ncheta Omerekpe has been drawn to a viral publication online that he donated to the governorship ambition of Professional Ikonne and sees this as a joke taken too far.

Just 2-weeks ago,across different Radio stations, Chief Omerekpe refuted being a member of the PDP campaign Committee for Professor Ikonne and reiterated that he does not support the Ikonne bid as announced by a commissioner and so will never donate a dime to support it bearing on his lack of capacity,capability to govern abia based on his past records at ABSU and ABIA POLY.
Note that the Oha Nsulu and Nsulu elders council is a fraudulent group led by one Mr Friday using the Omerekpe name to defraud people.

A government that owes salaries,pensions and forcefully take traders shops at Ariaria and Ngwa road,embezzle public funds and ignore security in the state should not be allowed to handpick an incompetent man as its candidate.

We call on the Ikonne Camp to leave Chief Omerekpe out of their bid as we have also instructed our team of lawyers to carry out legal action and also the IG of Police and other security outfits to handle any threats to Chief Ncheta and Family.
