NFF To Announce New Coach On Thursday
Nigeria's football governing body, NFF, has revealed a new head coach will be announced on Thursday, 12th May 2022.

Since the sack of Portuguese International, Coach Gernot Rohr, the top-flight team- the Super Eagles have been without a manager.

With outcry of a new manager still raging, the NFF after months of back and forth, principally with Portuguese Jose Peseiro, who previously coached Venezuela have finally declared deals have been sealed for a new gaffer.

This comes from the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, who spoke to PUNCH.

The NFF figurehead pointed out that the resolve was made after a successful meeting with the Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare.

Amaju Pinnick also explained the Minister advised the NFF to look beyond just Jose Peseiro while scouting for a new coach for the national team.

51-year-old Pinnick said;

"The outcome of the meeting with the minister was very good and cordial,ÔÇØAll the minister wants is fair play and not just Peseiro, he wants us to weigh other options and we will be announcing the new Eagles coach latest by Thursday.
I don't know who that will be yet, because we are talking to many of them and we've had zoom meetings with them.ÔÇØ
