An Abia based economic rights advocacy group and non-governmental organization known as Pathogrowth Centre has commended the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) for beaming its searchlights on the Ex-Governors of Abia State and their cronies.
In a press release signed by the Executive Director, Pathogrowth Centre, Mr. Sam Ekwuribe, lauded the financial crime commission's efforts following the recent report by several media houses of ongoing investigation of Ex-Abia state governor T.A Orji.
The Executive Director welcomed the efforts of EFCC to hold to account seemingly powerful individuals that have once held public offices, noting that it will serve as a deterrent to others presently in office.

The NGO which promotes accountability in governance, noted with dismay that the Abia State Government both past and present has not complained about losing these funds and called on the State government to as a matter of urgency investigate the matter so as to recover the finances of the State.
It will be recalled that a group known as Save Nigeria Group, had petitioned the EFCC in 2017, over misappropriation of funds in the State.
