Michelle Alozie was the hero as the Super Falcons of Nigeria defeated the Banyana Banyana of South Africa to book a place in the WAFCON final.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria recorded a 2-1 victory against the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in a semifinal WAFCON clash on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

Linda Motlhalo stepped up to score past Chiamaka Nnadozie in the 60th minute to level the score.
The equalizer from South Africa forced head coach Justin Madugu to make some changes.

It became a back and forth affair as the Super Falcons and South Africa had chances.

The breakthrough would come late in additional time when Esther Okoronkwo found Michelle Alozie who rocketed a cross from deep into the net.
The Super Falcons would hold on to their late advantage to secure the win in regulation time.
