Nigeria at 60: Abia Speaker Hails Nigerians, Tells Abians Future is Bright

Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of the country's 60th Independence Anniversary.

In a message made available to newsmen in Umuahia, the Speaker hailed Abians in particular and Nigerians in general for their resilience in the face of challenges facing the nation, saying such resilience is an indication that Nigeria will be better.
"We have come this far as a nation because of the people's resilience and ingenuity. Despite the challenges facing us, I believe strongly that we will succeed as a people. All we need to do is to keep praying for those in authority while leaders must also ensure that the interest of the people is paramount in all they do.

"On our part as a State Legislature, I commit once again on behalf of my Honourable Colleagues, to making laws that will enhance good living, and carry out our other functions in the best interest of the people.
