The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), will meet today, Friday, May 21, over plans to raise Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) alias petrol price to N380/408.5 per litre.

Nigeria Governor's Forum had on Wednesday, May 19, recommended for the Federal Government to remove petrol subsidy. The Forum suggested a price range of N380-N408.5 per litre.

Following this recommendation, Nigerians have continued to advise the Federal Government against the removal of petrol subsidy.

Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday, advised the Federal Government to be tactful and gradual in the removal of petrol subsidy.
