NPFL: Policemen Take Over LMC Office

The League Management Company (LMC) office in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja has been taken over by policemen.

This comes a week after the Federal Government Ordered the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) to withdraw its recognition as the management of the countries topflight league.

The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Ismaila Abubakar, had last Friday announced the withdrawal of the government's recognition of the LMC.

According to him, the decision was taken in view of the several unpleasant incidents regarding the management of the football league.
