Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has attributed Nigeria's lack of progress to the persistent failure of leadership to implement sound policies. "Nigeria is not short of policies, but it has become a burial ground for unimplemented or unexecuted policies," he said. He stressed that as long as leaders continue to abandon important initiatives, progress will remain elusive in all aspects of national life.
