Obed revealed that no primary election was conducted in his state constituency by PDP for the post he was vying for on the scheduled day, because of that, there was no need for him to remain in the party.
He stressed on the absence of internal democracy in the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
"There was no democracy in the party, no primaries was conducted. 22nd of May was supposed to be the day of the primary elections across the state, Some of us were prepared, some others had already withdrawn because of the issue with Ad-hoc. However, on the day of election, no electoral officers were sent by the PDP to Ohuhu Memorial Grammar School, the designated place for the supposed Primary elections".
