Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah has been recognized by the CIBN Abia State branch for his outstanding contributions to banking, human development, and social responsibility during the 2024 Bankers Week celebration in Umuahia.

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Abia State branch, has honored Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, PhD, CON, FCA, with the Award for Professional Excellence in Banking during its 2024 Bankers Week dinner and lecture held on December 14 at Abia Hotels, Umuahia.

Dr. Ogah, a former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, was unable to attend the event due to ongoing preparations for his late mother's funeral, scheduled for December 29. However, he was ably represented by Comrade Godwin Okorie, Head of Administration of the Abia Rejoice Movement, who received the award on his behalf.
