OHAFIA LGA: FLOOD DISASTER SACKS FAMILIES FROM HOMES IN NKPORO

Information reaching Abia Facts News, has it
that numerous families have been sacked from their home in Agbaja, Okwoko and
Ukwa Communities in Ndi Agbo Nkporo, Ohafia Local Government Area due to heavy
flood devastation. This surging disaster as we gathered affected these areas
due to heavy volume of down pour which lasted till the early hours of Friday
6th sept 2019.
Affected families have fled their homes in search of shelter
and protection from the adverse effect of the prevailing cold weather condition;
we learnt likewise that properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed
and wasted in the unfortunate incident. Peoples Health have equally come under
serious threat due to pollution and exposure to dirty environment.
Based on the information made available by Engr. Onyeze
Henry Ndukwe, Abia Facts News leanrt that it has becomes excruciatingly
burdensome to fend and cater for dependents especially women and Children
following imposed restrictions by this threat.

The communities are calling for intervention from the Abia
State government and the general public for the assistance of the affected
families.
