Prominent oil magnate and Chief Executive Officer of Mainland Oil and Gas, Prince Sir Dr. Chris Odinaka Igwe, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), ending months of speculation following his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The high-profile defection ceremony took place in Odinaka's hometown of Umunneochi Local Government Area, Abia State, and was witnessed by none other than the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, alongside other APC stalwarts and jubilant supporters.

Dr. Igwe, a respected businessman with vast investments across the oil and gas sector, had in previous months tendered his resignation from the PDP, citing irreconcilable differences.

Addressing the crowd, Dr. Igwe emphasized his commitment to contributing to the development of Abia State and Nigeria at large, noting that the APC's vision of progressive leadership perfectly aligns with his personal philosophy of service, excellence, and development.

Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, who was visibly elated, described the entrance of Dr. Igwe into the APC as a monumental boost to the party's strength in Abia State and a clear sign that more prominent figures are embracing the APC's "Renewed Hope" agenda.

He welcomed Dr. Igwe with open arms, noting that the oil mogul's experience, resources, and influence would be vital in reshaping the political landscape of the state.
