Otti: Your Accomplishments Represent An Inspiring Signal to Abians

Speaking when he led the APC Registration/ Revalidaton Committee from Abuja on a visit to Dr. Otti at his home, in Umuru Nvosi, Isialangwa South LGA of Abia state, Hon. Nwamkpa recalled Dr. Alex Otti's nationally acclaimed record of success in the corporate world as a banker, especially when he moved a bank from the level of near obscurity to heart warming prominence as an MD/CEO, and added that if Dr. Alex could attract the kind of massive road projects that have changed the outlook of different parts of Isialangwa South and North even when he has never occupied any public office, then Abians should brace up for better days ahead with people like Otti occupying leadership positions.

Hon. Nwamkpa harped on the need for Dr. Otti and other highly placed leaders of the party to close ranks and ensure that there is peace and unity in the party and assured that the Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu led government in Abia state will be the last PDP government in Abia.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the Registration/Revalidation committee, His. Excellency, Bala Mohammed Musa disclosed that his committee believed that their visit to Abia would be incomplete without paying a deserving visit to Dr. Otti whom he described as an eminent Nigerian whose popularity is derived from his excellent accomplishments, and told Dr. Otti that his committee was in Abia to ensure a hitch-free membership registration and revalidaton exercise, and appealed for support and cooperation from Dr. Otti and other leaders of the party to enable them succeed.

Welcoming the Committee whose members were drawn from the North, South East and South West parts of the country, Dr. Otti thanked them for the visit and assured that he was disposed to giving them the necessary support they would require throughout their stay in Abia.

He told them that the hardworking state Chairman, Hon. Nwamkpa is his brother and has always had his support, and went ahead to recall the good efforts made by Hon. Nwamkpa to bring him into the APC prior to the 2019 elections, but that because he didn't want to betray many illustrious Abians he convinced to join him in his former party, he decided to stay back, and stated that the period he joined the APC was the appointed time.

Dr. Otti restated his position that his decision to quit his individual comfort zone and get actively involved in politics was an altruistic decision aimed at meeting the leadership needs of Abians, and regretted that Abia is a state of contradictions, because in spite of the human and material resources which the state is blessed with, yet, the state continues to suffer from leadership deficiency at the expense of Abians.

He appealed to the committee members to ensure that materials meant for the exercise will be made available so that those wishing to join the party wouldn't be denied the opportunity, insisting that a political party without members is bound to go into extinction.

Dr. Otti had after the revalidaton of his membership urged his supporters and other Abians to do so as it would give them the opportunity to play active roles in making leadership choices for good governance in Abia state.
