In a bold move to strengthen the rule of law and ensure equal access to justice across Abia State, Governor Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, will this Wednesday commission the newly completed Umuene Court Complex in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area.

The commissioning is part of the Otti administration's far-reaching Judicial Reform Agenda, designed to reposition the justice sector as a foundation for democracy, accountability, and social stability.

Speaking while briefing journalists after this week's State Executive Council Meeting held at the Government House, Umuahia, the Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, described the Umuene Court Complex as one of 16 new ultra-modern court buildings currently being constructed across Abia's 17 Local Government Areas.

According to him, these facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, modern chambers, offices, and digital filing systems - all aimed at improving the efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of justice delivery.

"The new court complexes are not just buildings; they represent a new era of judicial efficiency and fairness. Governor Otti believes that justice must be brought closer to the people, regardless of location or social status,ÔÇØ Prince Kanu stated.
