PDP Elders Endorsed Ikonne, Not Ukwa La Ngwa Elders - Max Nduaguibe

The internal battle within the Ukwa La Ngwa Council of Elders is still raging as a group within the Council has gone ahead to endorse the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate Professor Uche Ikonne, while the Chairman of the Council Dr. Max Nduaguibe has described those that endorsed Ikonne as PDP elders and not Ukwa La Ngwa elders.

This internal wrangling which has exclusively been reported by ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER, started when the leader of the Council Dr. Max Nduaguibe insisted that the Council has not endorsed any candidate and that if the Council will even decide to endorse any candidate it should be Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor of the YPP because in his view Nwafor performed better than Ikonne during an interaction conducted by the Council with the candidates. CLICK TO READ FULL

This statement by Max Nduaguibe obviously did not go down well with some members of the Council, as a result of that, former Abia State Deputy Governor Eric Acho Nwakanma released a statement where he countered the position of Nduaguibe and went ahead to allege that Max Nduaguibe is biased. In a press release made available to ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER, a faction of the Ukwa La Ngwa Council of Elders led by Hon. Eric Acho Nwakanma former Abia State Deputy Governor have gone ahead to endorse the PDP governorship candidate. In the same press release attached below, they equally suspended Dr. Max Nduaguibe an alleged inability to give account of monies contributed to the group. READ FULL COMMUNIQUE BELOW.

But in a swift reply, the Chairman of the Council Dr. Max Nduaguibe described the endorsement as an endorsement of PDP elders and not Ukwa La Ngwa Council of Elders. He revealed that he predicted their action and that they have acted in script format in predicted.

"But they made a mess of themselves today by claiming to do so fraudulently as it is in their blood. Using the respected name of Ukwa la Ngwa Council of Elders' with a Communique signed only by PDP members exposed the height fraud in them, a total mess of themselves.ÔÇØ

"What the PDP leaders in the person of Acho Nwakanma and Don Ubani accomplished today is an exercise in futility. I do not know how they can get that into their system, because no one is being prevented from contesting the Guber election, endorsed, or not. They had been holding all that nocturnal meetings looking for an opportunity to hijack Ukwa la Ngwa Council of Elders' and turn it to a PDP affair. Now imagine. They forgot that I am a master in the business. Just pulled the rug off their feet. Little boys.ÔÇØ He concluded.

Communique By Ukwa La Ngwa Council of Elders:

In a well publicized and well attended meeting of Ukwa La Ngwa Council of Elders held today; Wednesday 14th September, 2022 at Ovu Nd'Eze in Aba-North Local Government Area of Abia State, the Council dispassionately discussed some critical issues that affect the Peoples of Old Aba Division, under the aegis of Ukwa La Ngwa Council of Elders, thereafter issued the following Communique.
(1) That the Ukwa La Ngwa Council of Elders, otherwise referred to as Council in this context, is satisfied with the overall performance of her Son, Brother and Governor of Abia State, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D in managing the affairs of the State, with particular emphasis on peace, security and infrastructural recovery of the State, especially in Aba that was abandoned for many years before his emergence as Governor and therefore, gladly passes a Vote of Absolute Confidence in him.

(2) That the Council remains resolute in accordance with the tenets of Equity, Justice and Fairness, that the governor of Abia State in 2023 should be a worthy eminent Indigene of Ukwa La Ngwa from Umunneato-Ngwa extraction in Abia-Central Senatorial District and has, based on maturity, experience, pedigree, competence, his TIGER Manifesto of Trade, Investment, Good Governance, Education and Rural Development, with emphasis on participatory povernance that is anticipated to open a window of productive engagement of more than 80% of Abia Youths, Credibility and Competence, therefore, today Unanimously Adopted the Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the State, Professor Uche Eleazar Ikonne, as her Governorship Favourite for 2023 election.
(3) That the Council, in her natural pursuit for Equity, Justice and Fairness resolved that each of the Nine Local Government Areas of Ukwa La Ngwa shall have a Trustee in Ukwa La Ngwa Council of Elders,

(4) The Council suspends the former acting Leader of Ukwa La Ngwa Council of Elders, Dr Maxwell Nduaguibe, indefinitely for inexplicable and unacceptable failure to give account of money contributed and donated by Members and Well Wishers while he acted as Leader.

(5) That the Council, hereby, set up a disciplinary committee to look into the allegations of financial impropriety and ant-association activities levelled against former acting Leader, Dr Maxwell Nduaguibe and possibly recommend appropriate action(s) to be taken.

(6) That the Council urges all Members of Ukwa La Ngwa Council of Elders and, indeed, all Abians of good conscience to continue to support Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu in his stride to keep Abia a very peaceful and safe State.

Predictably PDP members of UKWA LA NGWA COUNCIL OF ELDERS' led by Acho Nwakanma met today 14th September 2022 and finally attained their highest political achievement of the century by endorsing, as expected their PDP governor ship Candidate, Prof. Uche Ikonne.
It is their right to do so. If they did not endorse Ikonne would they continue to claim loyalty to our amiable Governor who nominated Prof Ikonne?

For nearly a month they tried unsuccessfully to endorse Ikonne using the auspices of our socio- cultural organisation -The revered Ukwa la Ngwa Council of Elders'
