Police Terminate Four Criminals Enforcing Sit-at-home
Operatives of the Enugu State Police command have discovered and recovered four lifeless bodies of armed criminal elements implementing an illegal sit-at-home order by the autopilot, a defunct faction of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra led by Simon Ekpa who lives in Finland.

Mr Ekpa who announced himself as the prime minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, said the sit-at-home would hold from 3 to 5 July and continue from Friday 7 to 10 July to pressurize the government to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the IPOB.

They were found in a forest behind G.Ede Filling Station/7-Up, at Awkunanaw, Enugu, where they escaped after getting injured during a gun duel with the police.

The police intercepted the criminals at One-Day, Awkunanaw, Enugu, as they were snatching an ENTRACO-branded minivan from its driver at gunpoint.

Confirming the report, a deputy Superintendent of the Police, Mr. Ndukwe said the criminals 'narrowly escaped with varying degrees of fatal gunshot wounds, due to superior firepower of the operatives. The bodies of four of the male hoodlums were found, in a forest behind G. Ede Filling Station/Seven-Up, at Awkunanaw, Enugu, where they escaped into.ÔÇØ

The police reassured residents of adequate protection while urging them to go about their businesses without any fear or intimidation.
