Ahead of the continuation of Nnamdi Kanu's trial today, Friday April 8, 2022, residents of the south eastern states are observing a sit-at-home order to protest the detention of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Kanu who is under the Department of State Service (DSS) detention, is expected to appear before a Federal High Court in Abuja today.

The cities of Aba and Umuahia in Abia State, has a large number of compliance to the sit-at-home directive as human and vehicular movement are minimal.
