POLICE BRUTALITY: Judicial Panel Awards Compensation To Victims | READ DETAILS

The Lagos State judicial panel on police brutality and extra judicial killings on Friday, awarded compensation to some victims of police brutality the panel has heard their cases and found meritorious.

Some petitioners who received compensation of N10 million are; Adebayo Abayomi for the extra judicial killing of his mother, and Hannah Olugbodi for being shot by a police officer among others.

The Panel's sitting judge, Justice Doris Okuwobi (retd) in her recommendation ,also stated that erring officers who have committed these offences are being sanctioned.
