Police Officer Killed By Gunmen -SEE HOW

A police officer in Ime-Obi Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area Of Delta State was on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 killed by gunmen suspected to be cultists.

The officer, ASP David Igbinovia, who hailed from Ughada community in Edo State was washing his car in the early hours of Wednesday when the gunmen, four of them opened fire on him.

Swiftly, the Anti-Cult Volunteer Corps Agbor Division apprehended four members of the gang after hearing the gunshots.

The officer was said to have attended the burial ceremony of his late brother the previous day at his home town.

ASP Igbinovia who was 62 years before his death served at Ihi Division of Edo State.

The suspects have been transferred to the headquarters of the Delta State Police Command for further investigation.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe , who confirmed the incident to The Nation said four suspects have been arrested.
