Police Reacts To The Crisis Between Gov. Fubara, Rivers Lawmakers | READ MORE
The Nigeria Police Force, has said that it is aware of the crisis at the Rivers State House of Assembly, following an alleged move to impeach governor Siminalayi Fubara.

The Police in a post made on it's social media handle on Monday said the state police command was addressing the security situation, adding that they have launched investigation to unravel the circumstances which led to the crisis.
"We're aware of the security situation at the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex. The Rivers State Police Command is actively addressing the matter. We've launched a comprehensive investigation to uncover the circumstances and will take immediate actions against those responsible. Stay tuned for further updates. Your safety remains our priority" the Police wrote.

Recall that amid plot to impeach Fubara, the state House of Assembly complex was allegedly set ablaze by yet to be ascertained arsonists.

Governor Fubara who had gone to the Assembly to ascertain the situation of things after Edie Edison was removed as Majority Leader of the Rivers House of Assembly, was allegedly shot directly at by security operatives.

Edison was allegedly impeached to make way for the impeachment of Fubara.
