Primate Ayodele Reveals Tinubu Won't Act Without August 1 Protest

Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church asserts that the Tinubu administration will only address the hardships faced by Nigerians if the planned August 1 protest materializes. He calls the protest a necessary wake-up call for government officials.

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has stated that President Bola Tinubu's administration will not heed the concerns of Nigerians without the planned August 1 nationwide protest. According to Ayodele, the protest serves as a crucial wake-up call for the President, senators, and state governors to address the country's ongoing hardship and hunger.

In a statement released by his spokesman, Oluwatosin Osho, Primate expressed disappointment with the government's efforts to alleviate the nation's suffering. He emphasized that the only way for the government to truly understand the people's plight is through protest.

"The protest is a wake-up call for the government, it is not a solution but it will make the President, governors, and senators wake up. It will be a form of check and balance," Ayodele remarked. He clarified that while he does not promote protest as the ultimate solution, it remains a necessary measure to draw attention to the issues.

Primate Ayodele also urged potential protesters to maintain peace and civility, warning against actions that could lead to chaos or anarchy. "I urge protesters to be civil and peaceful in their approaches to the government," he added, stressing the importance of avoiding violence.
