Prof Ndubuisi Ekekwe : Abia Born- US based Inventor Accepts Invitation to Speak in Abia Diaspora Summit, Calls on Abians to Invest in Abia

Prof Ndubuisi Ekekwe has accepted the invitation extended to him by Gov.Okezie Ikpeazu to Speak during the Abia Diaspora Summit slated to hold on the 30th of December 2021 at Addrex Hotel Aba,Abia State with the theme " Diaspora Engagement and Partnership; An Effective Instrument for Development.

Prof Ekekwe who hails from Ovim in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State is a Nigerian - US based professor, inventor, engineer, author, and entrepreneur. He is the founder of First Atlantic Semiconductors & Microelectronics ,which is a West Africa's leading embedded systems company. His working experience includes Analog Devices Corp where he co-designed a generation accelerometer for the iPhone and created the company's first wafer level chip scale package for inertial sensor. He is a player in the U.S. semiconductor industry where he develops innovative microchip and invented a micro-controller for medical robots. He was named in 2020 by Guardian Newspapers as one of 60 Nigerians in 60 Years Making "Nigerian Lives MatterÔÇØ.
The Abia Sage while announcing his acceptance to participate at the Summit stated that all his companies in Nigeria are registered in Abia and as such pays Value Added Tax (VAT) through the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS ) to the confers of Abia state. He called on other Abia entrepreneurs who has businesses across major cities in Nigeria such as Lagos ,Abuja and Port-Harcourt to also invest in Abia .He argued that it is time to translate those mansions in in Abariba, Ohafia, Bende, Ovim, and other Abia communities into factories in Aba, Umuahia and other cities within Abia State. Prof Ekekwe adduced that Abuja, Lagos and Port-Harcourt which are the home for most businesses in Nigeria including that of Abians are fine cities but Abia needs help, saying it is time to build Abia .
