The senator representing Abia North Senatorial Zone, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu today 30th March 2021 took journalist to a tour of some of his constituency projects. This tour today covered some projects in Item in Bende Local Government Area and Nkporo in Ohafia Local Government Area all in Abia State.

The projects inspected includes;

A 3 kilometres road project with drainage and asphalt at Amaokwu Item. This road is 70% done with contractors still on site.

2. Another 2 kilometre road project with drainage and asphalt at Amaeke-Apaanu Item. The road is completed.

4. A 7 Kilometres road project that cut across Nkporo community. The project is still on going.

5. A Motorized borehole project at Amurie Nkporo

6. Another motorized borehole project at Agbaja Ndiagbo Nkporo.

Based on the information gathered, Nkporo community have not been able to strike at water for decades in the community after various attempts at drilling borehole.
This is the first time drillers were able to strike at water using more sophisticated equipment's.

Both Item and Nkporo communities were appreciative at the effort of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu at attracting projects to their communities. They prayed for more projects, while declaring more support to the senator.
The project tour continues with Isuikwuato and Arochukwu LGAs coming next.
