The Sun writes: "Real Madrid are keeping tabs on a player at risk of relegation to League One.

Liverpool. City, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich are all linked with a move for the player as his contract runs down.
The Daily Star explains: "The centre-back was on the brink of joining the Reds in the summer transfer window, but the £35 million deal fell through at the eleventh hour. His current contract with Palace runs out in the summer and he has no plans to renew it.
"Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish pulled the plug on the deal after Palace failed to line up a replacement, which would have been vital for Palace competing in Europe this season.
"Alongside Liverpool and City, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich are also said to be chasing his signature."

The Mirror reports that Andrea Berta is now looking at recruiting younger players following the summer splurge.
The paper reports: "As the January transfer window looms, Arsenal are expected to be among the more subdued Premier League clubs. Having splashed out approximately £250m in the summer to bolster their squad depth with quality, it's evident that there's limited room for additional moves.
"This could potentially result in more departures than arrivals at the club, but that doesn't imply that the Gunners are inactive in the market. On the contrary, they're making swift moves - Andrea Berta's new strategy seems to focus on recruiting young talent for the future.
"In line with this, the latest transfer scheme being devised by the director reportedly involves a bid for two AC Milan prodigies. As per Calciomercato, Arsenal are monitoring a potential double swoop for Davide Bartesaghi and Lorenzo Torriani, with plans to make a move in due course.

"Standard Sport understands the club want to sign a wide forward in January, with manager Oliver Glasner of the firm belief that the Eagles need more depth there.
